Dear God,
Muruga, if you exist, Kanthaswamy, please give a remote to every person who watches Kanthaswamy so that they can survive the onslaught of Cockman, the ridiculously slow narrative further slackened with are-you-kidding-me slow mos that had one frontbencher scream: “Yenai Konnudunga” (Kill me now)
Towards the end of the movie, Kanthaswamy asks item girl Mumaith Khan how much the bad guy (caught with his pants down, never bothers putting them back on) paid for her to come and dance in his mobile pad.
“30 Lakhs,” says Mumaith after that song that milked boobage for every penny paid to her.
“This 30 lakhs would’ve helped so many poor families,” CBI officer Kanthaswamy (Vikram) says, reeling out some more statistics to prove economic disparity in the country, a lesson director Susi Ganeshan seems to have picked up from the discarded pages of Shankar’s first draft of Sivaji.
In fact, a whole load of the plot devices including vigilantes with double lives, public grievances interface, encrypted passwords, media manipulation are from Shankar’s old pages from Gentleman, Anniyan and Sivaji.
Now, Susi, Vikram and Co… Considering the 40 crores you guys spent on making this Cock and bull story come alive, you could’ve just given that money to charity directly instead. Why make the already poor people spend another 50-100 bucks to watch something they already know from better-done films?
So what’s gone wrong with this superhero film?
Kanthaswamy or Cockman is not a unique superhero or original by any stretch of imagination or spandex. This self-styled superhero is just Batman wearing a Cocksuit, aided by 11 Robins and operates like Robinhood. Like Phantom, he operates like a ghost, leaving his victims with a mark of his ring. The only original bit in this is that funny cluckety-cluck Cock-dance he does with effeminate grace that had the audience in splits, before he attacks. In fact in another scene, he dresses up as a woman and dances like Aishwarya Rai after arousing a coupla jokers.
A helpful backstory later reveals that Kanthaswamy and his chaddi buddies were used to role-playing in school plays and that little Cockman always got to play Draupadi.
Wait a minute… What’s the significance again?
I am beginning to wonder if there’s any hidden code in each of Vikram’s films that try to find an outlet for repressed sexuality. Let’s think about it. First, Rampwalk Remo, then that Brokeback Mountain-like monologue in Bheema where his pining for the gangster led him to stalk his hero and now this Aishwarya Rai dance further explained with a childhood story about how he always played the girl.
Is he really trying to say something here? I’m just wondering. Not judging. There also seems to be a conscious need to assert his sexuality.
CockMan watches Shriya shake her booty in a video clip. A few scenes later, Shriya is made to kiss him forcibly and much later, in an in-flight restroom, there are random shots of them making out put in just to titillate the audience when the two are just having a conversation there. Or maybe it’s Susi’s Thiruttu Payale tit-for-titillation strategy for box office collections. Need to say here that Shriya’s never looked so hawt EVER! Three on ten just for Shriya’s ‘scene-dance’.
Susi’s obsession with Tits&Ass takes him to new deplorable levels in the name of comedy. He hasn’t even spared Vadivelu who gets to almost moon us (God make me blind!) as the cops drench him in full force of water to the tune of Megham karukuthu (Jo’s dance in Khushi) with Vadivelu’s transparent shorts showing us his butt-cheeks. Eeks!
How is it a superhero film if the hero hardly wears that suit in the second half of the film (his Cockdance would’ve provided so much comic relief but we never get to see it after the first half of the film)? The fact that Vadivelu and Vikram both look hilariously funny and almost identical speaks volumes about this superhero get-up involving a Cock! Really?
Vikram, I feel sorry for you. it’s not really your fault. You’ve done the best you can given this shoddy script. I’m glad you have a Mani Ratnam movie to wash away these sins. In fact your journey from struggling actor to star to super-hero reminds me of Mullholland Drive. (She kills the actor in her to become a narcissistic star)
Now, if Cockman is the alter-ego, who’s the Peter Parker-equivalent? You know, someone like Bruce Wayne or Clark Kent who is a cover to blend into society? Kanthaswamy’s ordinary avatar is CBI officer Kanthaswamy. In other words, one’s a superhero, the other, is well, also a super hero. Now, vigilantes or superheroes create unique identities because of their inability to do something they can’t do in their ordinary avatars.
But this CBI officer has all the power to raid the influential and a boss who is supportive. He also has people support, a support system consisting of his most loyal childhood friends, a very protected office space and he actually leads quite a cushy life –he commutes only in stylish SUVs or his superbike.
Even assuming he moonlights as God, with his elaborate stunts and special effects team, to help the public, there’s no real reason for an honest police officer, a DIG at that, to form a special team to nab him. At best, he’s just an urban legend who hasn’t hurt a fly.
Magic works best when it’s not explained. Here, Susi goes out of his way to explain how each stunt is done like a making-of-the-film built into the action sequences.
Thambi, your film is already 200 minutes long. And you have this alp-aasai of playing cool second hero and making a cameo. Control pannu pa, you are the director. You ought to be more responsible. Your role adds nothing to the film.
That whole Mexico bit was an extended holiday. One minute there are six guns put to Kanthaswamy’s head and instead of killing him there, they change location just to kill him. Both locations being middle of nowhere. And instead of shooting him, they throw away their guns to beat him with their bare hands!
Idhule Slow-motion verae! WTF!
The whole load of cock and bull cannot be least bit digested. In fact, members of the paying public, this movie is a surefire cure for constipation.
Kanthaswamy’s slow motion will guarantee loose-motion.

Would have thought this is you talking out of your rivalry against Vikram. But the film deserves this and even more. First day, first show. Sethuten! Amma thaye….. 3 and a half hours…… was waiting for the interval for more popcorn, had stepped out twice already for medium combos. Idula couple seat with my girlfriend vera……. Ayio! Might as well have taken her home and watched Comedy Nerum in SunTV, would have had more fun.
You missed Vadivelu’s abysmally boring comedy. Here and there, a few laughs, otherwise suicidal. And just five scenes for vadivelu in such a LONGGGGG film??? Dissapointing…
Vikram needs to come out of his superhero complex. Really… He is a good actor, kokrokoing all along does not suit him AT ALL. Idula hype vera… adi seruppala…
August 22, 2009 at 6:41 pm
Thanks for reminding about Vadivelu. Will update.
August 22, 2009 at 7:08 pm
The fact that you forgot, i guess, shows his presence/absence in the movie.
Actually, I just remember, I think even Ashish Vidhyarthi’s was under-utilised. Multiple villians, with none making any impact….
Bad bad direction. Uh, i think I should stop talking abt the movie, drives me crazy.
August 23, 2009 at 8:10 pm
hey sudhish,
Kandhasamy was utter nonsense. vikram, prabhu, ashish, vadivelu, yg.mahendra…..all wasted. Very bad direction. Kandhasami…kurangu kaile poomaalai. Kurangu yaar purinjudha?
August 29, 2009 at 1:00 pm
Hey Sudhesh,
I think you need a psychiatric treatment.
It is very clear that you have used HINDU to show your personal vengeance towards and kanthaswamy team.
You directed one film called”That four word”(FUCK) title shows how perverted you are and the film failed very badly so you can’t put up with other people success and talent.
Everybody knows what you have written in Hindu is a utter crab..only psychic people like you will believe and write such comments..
Atleast try to concieve a single shot of film kswamy and try to make such shot in your film if at all you direct one in future
Till then before taking your pen and write a review of any good movie remember your That Four letter word FUCK.
August 29, 2009 at 1:11 pm
LOL!
Susi Ganesan, Welcome to my blog. Sorry, thought it was Vikram.
Maybe I should sell all the crab to seafood restaurants and form a club with like-minded psychics.
August 29, 2009 at 4:34 pm
cockman,
may i point out to u that Fuck isnt the only four letter word in English. There’s love, cove, dove, move, rove, wove, buck, duck, n then ur favourite word “fuck,” luck, muck, suck, yuck, cusk, dusk, husk… i cud go on. but it’ll b easier if u just browse thru d dictionary for more ‘four letter words!’

I usually don’t go by Sudhish’s review as at times I find it too critical, but after seeing this movie I was eagerly waiting for his review. I was disappointed that the review wasn’t as critical as what I wanted. What else do you expect a reviewer to write for a movie like this? Do you want him to say that this is the best movie to have come out in tamil cinema? I paid 15 fucking $ for this movie, went through this torture sitting in the second row. What’s worse it killed my friday night and spoilt my saturday. Never ever I’ve felt like walking out of a cinema hall mid way through a movie but trust me I just wanted to walk out right after the second half. In the movie, Vikram lists all the wrong doers in the society, like people who steal this steal that, people who have black money etc. add to that people who take movies like K’samy. And I seriously hope that Sudhish doesn’t concieve any scene/shot of K’samy and just make something really sensible. Oh and I forgot to mention the torture sitting in second row and seeing a close up of Prabhu occupying the entire scene. And the less spoken about Vadivelu comedy, the better. And I’m pleasantly surprised and happy that Thanu some how managed less loss with this movie. And Sudhish isn’t the only person making fun of this movie, read thro http://blogeswari.blogspot.com/2009/08/kandasamy.html this.

is this review in preview of your ego clash with vikram
August 23, 2009 at 1:57 am
You deserve to watch the film just for asking that. Ha ha. Once you watch the film you ll know. And nope. I dont let ego come in the way of my job as critic. My reputation as a critic you can trust is bigger than my ego. I validate each argument with examples. I did not just randomly say it sucks. I try to explain and elaborate what works. Or why it does not work.

i feel your pain. Dont worry. It will all be all right soon.
August 22, 2009 at 10:53 pm
A great review mate. But I am worried that you missed the important cast Mexican Pitchumani, Don Don Don….
August 23, 2009 at 2:13 am
ha ha ha ha. Mexicovle pichumaniya theriyatha aale illa. So i thought people here would surely know of him.

Kalaaaai Review…I haven’t watched the movie yet…U saved me some 100 bucks…
August 23, 2009 at 2:16 am
dont go by reviews. Unless you are poor or suffering. Reviews are one person s opinion at end of the day.
September 3, 2009 at 1:11 pm
i read the review in hindu and the anger frustration i developed on this film subsided a bit. but i liked the way reviewed and found your bog. this was much better. and your reply(don’t go by reviews……) is making me respect u.
all the best
August 22, 2009 at 11:17 pm
Sudhish,
I pity you, ivvlo expression in your blog might definitely meant something slip-shoddy. If this was not a 40-crore movie with so much hype, I would have doubted if Susi Ganesan would perish so cheaply, but this costly affair has actually made him fall with disgrace going by your review….I was planning for a slightly late theatre visit, maybe next weekend…not sure if this would be on-show until then!!!! hahaha….
thanks for the review though!

August 29, 2009 at 1:21 pm
Yes yes, movie should be in theatres because of Shriya. Not to worry.
August 22, 2009 at 11:29 pm
super review dude..! i think vikram was totally wasted in the movie, his superior acting skill is the only thing tht made me watch the film, indha padatha pakradhukaga amma kitta thittu 2 class bunku adicihi ponnen..all waste..! and more over those 11 member team was too many characters i culd hardly remember one or two of those guys..! and its too long for a super hero story..!
August 29, 2009 at 1:25 pm
Vikram, I maintain, is a very good talented actor. It’s just that he needs to choose his films more carefully and be willing to play roles like he did in Sethu, Kasi or even Pithamagan. But he believes he has become too big to do offbeat roles and taken his image too seriously. So even if he plays a bad guy, he wants to be hero-worshipped (Bheema couldve been a film as powerful as Satya with the right treatment)…
August 23, 2009 at 12:25 am
That was hilarious Sudhish. Saw this rubbish yesterday, was shocked. Couldn’t believe that someone can screw up this badly. Probably Vikram didn’t read the script before signing up. But how could he do all those 80s style robot dance in that superhero costume. Ridiculous!
August 29, 2009 at 1:27 pm
This is exactly the kind of a film where the star calls the shots, not the actor. A star cannot be beaten up or slapped, he cannot fail, he always is smarter than the villain etc… Unless the star surrenders to become a sincere actor and work for a director, he’ll end up looking like CockMan.
August 23, 2009 at 12:34 am
hi sudhish,
you forgot mexican pichumani. Why?

Another hilarious and kalaai review. I decided to wait for your review before watching the movie(if you call it a movie ie.) and once again, you’ve saved me from making a pointless trip to Sathyam. Cheers!
Kanthaswamy, absolute Kanthalswamy.
August 29, 2009 at 1:29 pm
A review must only be taken as seriously as a friend telling you whether it’s good or bad. It’s not the last word on the matter. But thanks!
August 23, 2009 at 2:06 am
Awesome review man! I was ROFLing when I read every line. Haha! Too good! =) Hats off to you, for kizhichifying the movie. =D
August 29, 2009 at 1:29 pm
Thank you.
August 23, 2009 at 4:17 am
My friend saw the movie on the first day and mentioned that go to this movie without expectations and you could watch it once.So me along with 9 others from our office went to the movie without much expectations. All we were looking for was a regular mass masala movie nothing more.Intro scene like this for a mass hero has never happened.Horrible…then suddenly cbi sequence…all of us from our office could not tolerate the movie for even 10 minutes and started sending sms between ourselves on how bad the movie was made…I could not just point out one positive from the film…Songs sounded ok before the film but sucked to the core on the screen because of bad choreography, even camera angles were very bad,one will easily get headache because of that(I got).
Either Susi ganesan or dhanu must be mad to direct or produce a movie like this.Dhanu’s list of mega flops continue…There is once scene where the villian will ask vikram what is your last wish before death…One person from the crowd in the theatre shouted”I want my ticket money back”.Dhanu, vikram and company hyped the movie to the core before the movie release and suddenly on the release day he said they wanted to keep a low profile as they do not want to over hype it.
Note to Susi Ganesan/Dhanu:honestly did you watch the movie before releasing it
Note to Vikram:Your career is gone..unless ravan could help you big time…you wasted 2 years on bheema and 3 years on this useless Kanthaswamy.
Note to Shreya:You are a better prospect for shakeela movies
Note to everyone:Do not go for this movie even if someone gives you free tickets. Not even worth a dvd watch
Kanthaswamy is கந்தல் சாமி
August 29, 2009 at 1:31 pm
Wow! That’s a mini review by itself.
Fully agree except the Shriya part. I like Shriya. Think she needs better films.
September 2, 2009 at 1:33 pm
Hello, everyone can say nastry things about TR or Caption film. But no one should utter a word about mokkaisamy, sorry kandasamy. No NO

August 23, 2009 at 2:48 pm
I haven’t watched it yet. But got some really bad inputs and deadly warnings from my friends already. Hey are u the sudishkamath who writes in the hindu film review
August 29, 2009 at 1:32 pm
Yes. That would be me except that you missed the h in my name.
September 1, 2009 at 4:53 pm
Sudhish, when my mom asked my twins how the film kandasamy was, they replied, “Chee…thoo…ore bure ammamma! Just wait till deepavali and it will be telecast in Kalaignar Tv or Sun Tv ammamma!” So it is not just me, but even 11-year olds did not like the film.
August 23, 2009 at 3:24 pm
This is the best review i have read for Kanthasamy. What a horrible film… The makers need to be shot for making this piece of crap.
August 29, 2009 at 1:35 pm
One of them thinks it’s spelt “c-r-a-b”. LOL!
August 23, 2009 at 7:28 pm

damn man! some people never learn
August 29, 2009 at 1:35 pm
I was nice enough to leave this bit from the official review.
August 23, 2009 at 8:53 pm
Howdy, Sudhish..Great review, as always. In fact, I’d categorize review this as a public service announcement, advising people to save their $15 (or Rs.200 in India). Thanks for saving the masses, at least the ones like me who haven’t seen this madness.
August 29, 2009 at 1:36 pm
Fifteen dollars too much for movie.
But 100 rupees for the rich and the bored for watching Shriya shake her booty is not bad, no? You can always leave halfway.
August 24, 2009 at 1:06 am
Great Review. The ticket prices here in NJ was 15 bucks for this movie. For other indian movies its the regular 9 dollars. these megalomaniacs like dhanu don’t wanna understand the word recession. Sincerely wish they end up in heavy loss. Every other interview Susi is saying he is gonna be No:1 after. Well now we have to call him “Pussy” Ganeshan
August 29, 2009 at 1:38 pm
There’s so much else you can do with 15 bucks. Like watch Quick Gun Murugan.
September 1, 2009 at 12:31 am
Yeah.Actually I try to catch up evry weekend one Hollywood movie here. I could’ve watched two hollywood movies(matinee prices) in this 15 bucks.I watched this one on the first day and only review which was out was from sify which said Good(dhanu paid them …i guess so). But I saved couple of friends . Quick Gun didnt release here in U.S. waiting for the DVD.
August 24, 2009 at 11:11 pm
I think you must have a hard time writing this review, it would have made you things so much to write on a crap. So how is this hype and PR stunts for such a bad-flop movie done? Any guesses Sudish.
PS: I am a regular reader of your reviews at The Hindu.
August 29, 2009 at 1:38 pm
Bad movies need more hype and PR than good movies no?
And thanks.
August 25, 2009 at 2:03 am
What befuddles me is, when the same folks (read director , actor, producer) see the movie, dont they see how absurd, stupid it is?
August 29, 2009 at 1:39 pm
Apparently not. They believe they’ve made a masterpiece.
August 25, 2009 at 12:21 pm
Great review , the movie didn’t look original in the first place , every scene reminded you of some other movie .It was Sivaji ,Ramana ,Chellame ,Ayan,Samurai,Batman and much More stuck together to pieces .
August 29, 2009 at 1:40 pm
Thanks. And yes, it’s by no means, even remotely ORIGINAL.
August 25, 2009 at 1:53 pm
ROFL! That was hilarious. I did not intend watching the movie, but after reading your review, I really must see this! If only to have a good laugh
Congrats on being picked by Blogadda.
August 29, 2009 at 1:41 pm
Thank you. Yes, please watch the film to enjoy the review more.

Thank you very much.
Much thrilled about Blog Adda picking it.
August 26, 2009 at 12:49 pm
Amazingly well written article about the movie. I never had any plans of watching the movie. The longer it took to release the damn thing, I felt it was going to be a utter waste of time. Like the way you critiqued it almost scene by scene, scenario by scenario. I am definitely not going for the movie
whoever penned COCK-MAN deserves a serious KNOCK on his head
August 29, 2009 at 1:42 pm
Maybe a good idea to watch it. That way you might relate to the review more.
August 28, 2009 at 7:09 am
It was a pathetic movie, agreed, but you needn’t have used the word ‘cock’ 12 times in your review (however innocuously). That’s 10 times more than the number of times we see him in a cocksuit.
August 29, 2009 at 1:43 pm
Good point. To make up, I didn’t use it much in the official review.
August 28, 2009 at 12:38 pm
Thanks saving 100/200 bucks for me….
OMG!!!!!
August 29, 2009 at 1:44 pm
Don’t you think the review may make more sense after you’ve seen the film?
August 28, 2009 at 1:01 pm
hey gr8 review:) royally ripped i was so keen on watchin this movie but d wish just faded way ur review s samma trailer for ppl who have not yet watched:)
August 29, 2009 at 1:45 pm
I thought the trailer would make you watch at least the funny parts. Like, don’t you want to see the CockMan dance?
August 28, 2009 at 1:37 pm
Sudhish,
It is one of the gutsiest reviews I have ever read. You have done a good job doing the review….Malathi Rangarajan would have been a bit softer still looking for some silver lining somewhere and probably would have driven us to theatre….good that you reviewed this movie and saved us all from the peril.
Kathir
August 29, 2009 at 1:46 pm
Yes, she’s probably a nicer/softer person than I am. But I insist you watch the film so that we can at least share a laugh over the CockMan dance.
August 28, 2009 at 3:59 pm
ROFLMAO
Movie of the year pOla?
August 29, 2009 at 1:46 pm
Out of the world movie. I just hope it gets there soon.
August 28, 2009 at 11:32 pm
And u dint even mention abt the totally ****** up DI. Every freaking frame in the movie has been colour corrected to its totally washed off extend. Yes, Mexico needs a yellowish tint. But HELLO, we’ve seen better grading in Ayan with the Namibia shots’ u cant fool us! “Kanthasamy: A Disaster in D.I” [too].
August 29, 2009 at 9:41 am
Hey saw the movie..
Its not as bad as you portray it to be though its the same old aracha maavu.
” Is he really trying to say something here? I’m just wondering. Not judging. There also seems to be a conscious need to assert his sexuality.” –
Idhellam konjam over.
“Thambi, your film is already 200 minutes long. And you have this alp-aasai of playing cool second hero and making a cameo. Control pannu pa, you are the director. You ought to be more responsible. Your role adds nothing to the film.” – Agreed
August 29, 2009 at 1:49 pm
LOL!
Rampwalk Remo, Brokeback Bheema and now Crossdressing and backstory that tells us why he crossdresses… Still think it’s over?
Anyway, if you read the para after that line you quoted, you ll see what I mean.
And it’s totally ok if you don’t see it too.
August 29, 2009 at 1:26 pm
Sudhesh,
It seems you know the correct meaning of sexual repressment. May be you are affected with that would advice you to check up for your doc for your hormonal imbalance..you photos prove that you look like a gay.
You bloody F…k. Nobody can shadow the hardwork and success of anyone ..if you think you have done a great work with the review surely you are going to fall into a deep shit.
See some positive things in life otherwise you go mad with other people curse..Especially the curse from the real hardwork and effort will affect your family
and kids ..which you ultimately have to pay your whole life sitting and crying.
Definetly Lord Muruga will punish you. If you get any bad news in next 24 hrs that means your bad time starts….You have to believe in God Muruga
August 29, 2009 at 1:56 pm
The above comment in the name of Pooja was sent from the same IP address as Cockman 121.247.214.38. I am going to receive bad news because Muruga will punish me.
I am scared.
hahahahaha!
LOL!
August 29, 2009 at 2:04 pm
The message also says I will receive this bad news in 24 hours.
Now, that qualifies to be a threat.
Are these jokers so stupid to not know that the police Cyber Cell can trace the IP address to a location within a few minutes?

In Kazakhstan people send assassins to Indiya to castrate the sonafabeetch who made this crabb and buy Shreya for our town chief.

Pathetic.

Hey Sudish,

susi…weighta mokka vanginu irukan…..marana kalai machan!!
August 31, 2009 at 2:55 pm
That was real sting on the face. I don’t understand what makes these producers and film makers assume that people like “Heroism”, “opening song”, foreign locales.Had Mr. Dhanu AKA Art Tiger AKA Kalai Puli given 40 crores to ameer or Bala or Anurag they would have made 5 movies good movies in all with at least 2 giving him great profits.
Susi wanted to be a shankar while shankar himself is proving to be real sore thumb off late. Ennamo pongappa. Enna logic o!
When you do meet him…..Please give him a screen writers book or ask him to spend a % of 40 crores to take a flight to cannes and watch films screened in the competition section.
When I was watching the film suddenly I got scared if the “Bambara Kannale” song would be cut. I got really tensed….
The song finally came I ended my orgasmic longing then and there. Cut apnnirundhaanga INOX la refund kaetturupein.
BTW, “Miao Miao ” and “Bambara Kannalae” Must watch on Big screen. Producers kindly arrange for screening, ready to pay 100 bucks again.
Enna ezhavo. Nalla irunga! Kovama Kalamburien.

Hi Sudhish,
A true review man!
I was one of those poor chaps who saw this movie on the first day(spent Rs.150 for the ticket)! Also read your letter to vikram (post bheema).
If the ‘makers’ of kanthasamy have any doubts about the sincerity of your review, they should have watched it along with the audience. The expletives that were shouted would have made them hang themselves.
PS: Why is Vikram so effeminate in his TV interviews? Does he behave so in real life? Does no one notices or do they choose not to?
Also read T.S.Sudhir’s NDTV blog where Dhanu has told him that Vikram is not in a good mood to interview because of THE HINDU review(please let me know who is the “celebrated actor” mentioned)
August 31, 2009 at 7:40 pm
I was thinking whether I should spend $50 ( tickets for family ) on this one or Unnai Pol Oruvan….thanks for making the choice easier…As much as I would love to watch Shriya on big screen, I cannot sit through a 3 hour movie while I could rent and watch the same in less than 2 hours in few months. Glad to watch you continuing your good work. BTW did you write a review on Ayan.
August 31, 2009 at 7:56 pm

Apt Review for a bad movie… But explicit references to an Actor’s sexuality could have been avoided. For a moment when I was reading this well reasoned review, I thought it took a very ugly personal turn… But then yes I spent $10 over this weekend in Milwaukee watching this crap… Good luck to Vikram with his upcoming ones… Hope to see you write with similar vigor (& vengeance?) when you write about movies like Sivakasi, Thirupachi, Villu, Aadhi and Did I miss something here??
September 1, 2009 at 12:25 am
hey sudhish, read today that Dhanu has cursed you. He needs to understand that his curse will never have effect on anyone. He doesnt qualify even remotely for that kind of a person.
Imagine the frustration given by ppl. like me sitting here in U.S spending freakin 15 bucks (yep.i already told you tkt cost is 15 bucks here) for this crap.Defntly this bad will will affect these guys. Not vice versa.
Also its high time that u clarify again that as Dhanu says you approached vikram to act in your movie & since he refused it you’ve given such a bad review.I dont think so its true..rite!!
September 1, 2009 at 1:36 am
No dude. Absolutely not true.
Watch out for Quick Gun Murugan review, I say. Mind it.
September 1, 2009 at 1:20 am
Heard about Dhanu cursing you.
He held a press conference to announce the success…then why worry about reviews….it is like Transformers 2 which was critically trashed yet turning out be the biggest hit of this year. And the review was not all that harsh IMHO.
I respect your unbiased reviews and keep up the great work. Even if you approached Vikram for a movie, it does not discredit any of your reviews on his movies and I always see that you praise his performance.
September 1, 2009 at 1:39 am
And 100 comments! Thank you all! The End.

Hi Sudhish,
Your review on Dhandasamy was awesome.I was frustrated on spending 40 bucks in vellore for this COCK dance & Mexico mani’s tamaasu.Really your review was an amrutanjan for the”slow death”…I pity those who have spend Rs 100 & More(“Thunbathilum oru inbam”).
The Only positive was Shriya( i agree on your comment abt her),Devisri prasad music & BGM( U forgot to mention abt that?)..
Hope Vikram atleast from hereon can realise that “sarakku irunthaa thaan pappu vaegum”.
Quick Gun murugun(Watched on 30th aug) will shoot the CockMan , I Say..
Hoping you would be writing review on QGM…

Unfortunately our man Sudhish cant counter-curse the baddies. Actually, he doesnt have to.
Sudhish: “Dei! Naan vayaru erinju solraen da, inimay unnodu oru padam kooda hit aagadhu!”

Dear Sudhish
Guess I missed the boat, nevertheless I am sure you read my comments.
September 4, 2009 at 1:24 pm
Sudhish , I remember long time ago, may be in 2001 or 2003, you wrote a page 2 article on vikram, where u refered to him as Matinee Idol. you did didnt U? why dont you upload that in your blog. Am a great fan of Chiyaan!
September 6, 2009 at 11:42 am
Dude, You gave the movie a rating of 3/10 and in my opinion its a little over rated. And for all things you have written, i give this review a 10/10
September 8, 2009 at 10:58 am
Sudhish.
Wonderful review and spot on! I just wished id read this before i put myself through that torture. Absolutely mindbogglingly ridiculous – these clowns need to seriously check their heads before strutting out something like this. Wow – they have the audacity to preach about philanthropy whilst wasting every possible resource to make this garbage. Keep up the good work.
September 24, 2009 at 12:52 am

People,
All comments are being monitored for threats and we have kept a record of IP addresses, so I can only warn mischief-makers that they will be in serious trouble.
Some of you may have genuine queries, so I am going to say this for the last time: All reports about me asking Vikram to do my film are amusingly fictional, obviously aimed at discrediting the review. I have never had any personal issues with him as I have explained before in my open letter to him as a fan. I think that’s as transparent and honest as it gets. I think he’s a fine actor, one of the best we have in this part of the country and I wish him all the best.
So let’s just put an end to this discussion. I am afraid I will not be approving any further comments – positive or negative – on this post. Thank you for all the love and support.
